Emma Oelschig is an HPCSA-registered Music Therapist with a Master's in Music Therapy. Specialising in mindfulness-based approaches, Emma creates therapeutic experiences that support wellbeing through rhythm, sound, and creative expression.
At Nuru House, Emma facilitates bi-weekly, 60-minute therapeutic drumming circles that combine the joy of communal music-making with evidence-based practices. These sessions integrate mindfulness techniques, receptive music experiences, and arts-based reflection methods to create a holistic approach to wellness.
The drumming circles offer participants a unique opportunity to release stress, improve focus, build connections, and access creative self-expression—all within a supportive community environment. No musical experience is necessary; all are welcome to discover the healing potential of rhythm.
Emma's approach is grounded in current research on music therapy's benefits for emotional regulation, stress reduction, and social well-being. As an HPCSA-registered professional, Emma brings clinical expertise and an authentic presence to each session.
Join Emma every second Thursday at nuru studio to experience the transformative power of mindfulness-informed therapeutic drumming.
